Supporting children

Working in partnership to transform lives

Nicaragua has a very young population, with an average age of just 22. The country is still struggling to recover economically from the civil war (1979-1989) in which many of the older generation fought and died. Hurricane Mitch (1998) devastated vast areas of Nicaragua and killed thousands and compounded the ongoing poverty experienced by normal people.

Consequently, some children have been orphaned and many children are unable to access education.

In the midst of this bleak situation, we want to provide hope to the children and teenagers of Nicaragua, giving them the opportunity to experience a bright future.
